In Japan, ""Nomunication hour""—a blend of the words nomu (to drink) and communication—traditionally begins after 5pm, marking cocktail hour and a time for social conversation. The Seiko Presage Cocktail Time collection is inspired by this custom, with each timepiece named after cocktails created by Hisashi Kishi, the head bartender of Star Bar in Tokyo’s Ginza area. This particular timepiece draws inspiration from a ""beer julep"" cocktail, where Kishi blends Japanese beer with whisky, gin, sugar syrup, lemon, and basil leaves, resulting in a fragrant and refreshing aperitif. The watch’s dial beautifully captures the sparkling crispness of this unique cocktail, reminiscent of its view through a glass.

The watch features a striking gold-coloured case and bracelet, complemented by gold indices and dauphine-style hands. The elegance of the design is further enhanced by a date function at the 3 o’clock position. With a three-fold clasp and push-button release, it offers a comfortable and secure fit. The see-through exhibition case back adds a modern touch, showcasing the inner mechanics of the watch. Measuring 40.5mm in diameter and 11.8mm in depth, this piece embodies timeless style and craftsmanship.

Powered by an in-house 4R35 automatic calibre, this watch is accurate to +45/-35 seconds per day.
