Millesime The Fifty | RAYMOND WEIL 50th Anniversary

Millesime The Fifty | RAYMOND WEIL 50th Anniversary

To celebrate its 50th anniversary, RAYMOND WEIL introduces a special edition timepiece limited to 50 pieces. “THE FIFTY” pays tribute to the brand’s beginnings, featuring an original Valjoux Calibre 23-6 from 1976, the year of its founding. Kept unused for 50 years and meticulously hand-restored and redecorated, it brings together Swiss watchmaking heritage, family legacy, and a modern sensibility.

The Fifty: An Anniversary Piece, A Tribute to the Watchmaker’s Gesture

To mark the jubilee, RAYMOND WEIL revisits the essence of classic Swiss chronographs with “The Fifty,” highlighting the Maison’s dedication to manual craftsmanship, traditional mechanics, and refined finishing. Its dial echoes the aesthetic of the millesime Small Seconds, linking it to a recent milestone in the brand’s history.

At its core is an original 1976 Valjoux Calibre 23-6, a historic column-wheel chronograph known for its clarity, reliability, and balanced design. The hand-wound movement beats at 21,600 vibrations per hour, offers a 48-hour power reserve, and displays small seconds at 9 o’clock with a 30-minute counter at 3.

Each movement has been fully restored and hand-decorated, featuring Côtes de Genève, black ruthenium finishing, blued screws, and hand-executed anglage, creating a rich interplay of light, depth, and contrast.

An Architectural Four-Part Dial

The Fifty comes in a 37 mm steel case with a white gold bezel, preserving the classic proportions of manual-wound chronographs, and is limited to 50 pieces in honour of RAYMOND WEIL’s 50th anniversary.

Its dial is a multi-layered construction of four separately finished elements, creating depth and a neo-vintage aesthetic inspired by the millesime collection. A structured rehaut with tachymeter scale and diamond-cut detail enhances legibility and refinement. Below, a grained surface and a central “tapestry” motif add texture and light play, while Super-LumiNova® indexes and subtle branding complete the design.

The sub-dials are individually finished for clarity and contrast, and the case back is engraved with “1976” and “2026” to mark the brand’s founding and anniversary.
